Clinician-executive brings frontline product and technology expertise to health tech talent advisory
MINNEAPOLIS – April 6, 2026 – Talencio, a talent acquisition and contract staffing firm serving health technology organizations, announced that Renee Chang has joined the company as Partner and Vice President, Strategic Talent Advisory.
Chang brings a distinctive blend of clinical, operational and talent placement and advisory experience across medical devices, biotechnology, digital health and informatics. Her deep experience in executive recruiting is complemented by more than 20 years in clinical roles, including highly informed perspective on operational needs serving as a registered nurse, clinical process and informatics analyst and clinical strategy director for population health initiatives. Having used the products and technologies her clients build, and led cross-functional teams spanning clinical, quality and technical functions, Chang brings firsthand operational credibility that shapes how she identifies, evaluates and advises on leadership talent
“I’ve always believed that great outcomes start with great people, and Renee embodies that philosophy,” said Talencio CEO and Founder Paula Norbom. “Her experience and perspectives as a clinician-turned-recruiter, combined with her passion for advancing patient care, make her an incredible addition to our team and a strong partner for our clients.”
Chang joins Talencio at a time when health tech organizations face increasing pressure to align leadership talent with rapid innovation and commercialization demands. Many are confronting not only overall workforce shortages, but a widening gap in experienced leadership. In her new role, Chang will help clients identify and secure vetted talent to address their critical needs, whether it’s accelerating innovation, managing costs, scaling and strengthening teams or improving patient outcomes.
Chang earned her RN and BSN in Nursing from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Based in the Tampa Bay area, she is active in community service, serving as an executive board member for More Health, Inc., a nonprofit that delivers free health education to students, and serving as the regional ambassador for the Life Science Women’s Network. She also mentors students through Think Big for Kids, a nonprofit focused on breaking cycles of poverty and helping middle and high school students explore career paths, and is involved with the Leadership and Innovation Forum of Tampa Bay, an academic-business collaboration through the University of South Florida that advances healthcare education, research, and clinical care across the region.
